Capricon 36 Panels
Capricon 36 will soon be upon us!  As Chicago's own four-day science fiction convention, it is sure to be of epic, space operatic proportions.  Here is a list of the panels I will be in:

The Importance of Visual Design in Movies and TV - Friday, 02-12-2016 - 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm - Willow
The look of a movie or TV show can greatly affect how you visualize the setting. We discuss how science fiction and fantasy design has impacted people's perceptions of the future and past.
Dexter Fabi (M), Karen Ann Hollingsworth, Daniel Levin, James Plaxco, Lucy Synk

Alien Landscapes on Earth - Friday, 02-12-2016 - 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm - Willow
The landscape of Earth is greatly varied; some could call it almost alien. How have these Earthly, yet alien, landscapes influenced artists and authors?
Dexter Fabi, Sandra Levy (M), James Plaxco, Lucy Synk, Eric Wilkerson

Science Literacy for All - Sunday, 02-14-2016 - 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm - Botanic Garden
How can we increase science literacy among children and adolescents? How can the internet be a useful tool for increasing it, and how do we direct youth to good sites?
Alicia Choi (M), Dexter Fabi, Patrick O'Connor, James Plaxco, Henry Spencer, Kelly Strait

I sincerely hope to see you there!  The full Capricon programming schedule will go live within the week, so keep visiting the Capricon site.
